I. Aspire Parent Support Group Rules & Guidelines
A. Mutual Agreement
1.  The Parent Support Group (PSG) will:
a) be parent-organized and parent-operated.
b) Establish and maintain by-laws and operations consistent with this document.
c) Operate it in a manner and spirit consistent with the goals and business practices of Aspire Kids Sports Center.
2. Aspire Kids Sports Center will:
a) Support the PSG by requiring 100% participation of the Team members.

B. The Stated Purposes of the Parent Support Group is:
1. To support and work to further the Team goals, those goals being solely determined by the coaches and Aspire Kids Sports Center.  The PSG by-laws shall specifically state and pledge its ongoing support of the Team goals regardless of changes which may occur in these goals.
a) The PSG by-laws shall specifically forbid any actions in conflict with the Team goals with sanctions if appropriate.
2. To generate funds to help pay for part or all of the following expense categories:
a) PSG self-generated administrative expenses including, but not limited to:
(1) bank fees
(2) long distance charge is
(3) printing
(4) postage
(5) misc. office supplies
(6) other

b) entry fees for competitions
c) camp fees
d) apparel
e) travel to and from competitions or camps
f) coaches’ expenses while at competitions
g) to provide PSG scholarships for deserving families

3. To stimulate team spirit and team unity:
a) by hosting a yearly team banquet to honor the athletes and coaches
b) by hosting other social events for the teams
c) by participating as a group in Community Service
d) by other means as determined by the PSG

C. Fund-Raising Guidelines and Restrictions
1. PSG funds may be procured from
a) dues
b) conventional fund-raising efforts
c) sponsorships/gifts
d) hosting competitions off-site
(1)  100% of all profits resulting from off-site competitions belong to the PSG.
e) hosting competitions on-site
(1) Facility rent is zero
(2) However, Aspire has significant costs whenever the facility is shut down or restricted because of a competition and Aspire shall be reimbursed for all hard and soft costs resulting from the competion.  Examples:
(a) Lost “opportunity dollars” which result from shutting down its facility overhead, equipment debt service, employees and other ongoing costs.  This amount will be determined by Aspire and will vary depending on the time of year, seasonal demand, etc.  Examples of  lost “opportunity dollars”
i) Birthday parties
ii) Note that sometimes venues not having direct conflict may need to be shut down because of parking lot demand.
iii) Revenue from all tuition-based classes which must be canceled.
(b) Any Aspire employee’s wages and P/R taxes directly devoted to hosting the competition including planning, marketing, and facility management/janitorial.
i)   Required:  Aspire manager must be on-site and contracted by the PSG at $X/hour.  This person will oversee security, janitorial, and clean-up.
(c) Reimbursement for wear and tear on facility, apparatus and grounds at the rate of 5% of all profit generated from the operation of the competition with the following single exception:
i)  100% of all sponsorship dollars earned directly by the competition shall be kept by the PSG.
(3) Facility responsibilities of the PSG
a)  During meet hours, supply volunteer, on- site janitorial persons at the rate of at least one booster member per 100 competitors.
i)   One of these volunteers shall be appointed by the PSG to be Manager on Duty to manage the other Booster facility volunteers and serve as liaison between the PSG and the official Aspire facility person.
b) Clean up at the end of each day.  This requires a clean-up crew of at least 4-12 people, depending on the event.
i)  All of these volunteers must stay until the door is locked and all exit the building to prevent unfair burden upon the Aspire facility person or any one or two Booster volunteers.
c)  Supply volunteers to set up and tear down any equipment.  This job may be small or large depending on the event, requiring up to 12 strong volunteers.
d) Volunteers to monitor and direct auto traffic in the lot regardless of the size of the event. Smooth traffic flow is essential for Aspire’s regular clients as well as safety and must be considered a priority.
e)  Provide necessary contingencies for adequate parking depending on the size and flow of the event. As this is a security and operational issue, Aspire maintains the right to rule over PSG decisions.
f)  Supply all needed personnel to maintain security within the facility and on the parking lot.  Determined on a case-by-case basis.
i) Secure all unused venues
ii) Provide safety guidance for unattended children

2. Fundraising/Sponsorship Restrictions
a) Fund raisers must be legal, ethical, and consistent with the Aspire philosophy
b) Aspire may from time to time arrange exclusive marketing relationship with various companies which means it is honor bound to not market competing products in any way.  The spirit of this arrangement necessarily of course extends to the PSG.   The list of marketing exclusives changes from time to time and it is the PSG’s responsibility to check with Aspire on a regular basis to assure that no conflict arises form any planned marketing.  Current exclusive relationships and the restricted products are:  ????
c) Temporary sponsorship signage during an event is OK, but must be removed after the event is over.  Permanent signage must be authorized by Aspire
